Honorary member of SPACE

In 2007, European aerospace prime contractors realized that our supply chain was not able to meet the new challenges of industrial excellence. They decided to create the SPACE™ association in June 2007 to support the development of this industry.

SPACE™ (Supply chain Progress towards Aeronautical Community Excellence), is a non-profit association gathering European civil aeronautical industry actors. The association has been founded by the initiative of AIRBUS, EADS, EATON, LIEBHERR Aerospace, MOOG, RATIER FIGEAC/HAMILTON SUNDSTRAND, SAFRAN, THALES and ZODIAC Aerospace.

Objectives

The SPACE™ Association’s objective is to offer and implement, either directly or indirectly, services in order to achieve our commitments that are the improvement and sustainable development of industrial performance as well as the competitiveness of supply chains of on-board products for the civil aeronautical industry.

Services

SPACE™ sets up a platform to provide the Industrial Supply Chain services.

Most of these services are provided free of charge to all members.

The services provided aim at improving the performance of the whole Supply Chain by focusing on sharing best practices, industrial and supply chain standards as well as common tool kits. Thanks to their experience and methodologies sharing, SPACE™ executive members have built up common tools and added valued services that are performance oriented.

In addition, SPACE™ qualifies independent consultants to help on support improvement projects at associate members’ initiative, who intervene at preferential prices.
